26th March, 2021
Our Children's Champion Maxine organised her first engagement activity since joining FosterCare UK by hosting a Zoom session on Friday 19th March for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.
The session began with Maxine introducing herself to the children and young people so they could get to know their new Children's Champion. Prior to the event, Maxine had sent out a list of all the equipment needed so our children and young people could take part in a number of activities which Maxine had planned such as playing the Yes/ No game, as well as her demonstrating how to easily make Red Nose Day cupcakes and Jammie Dodgers, Yum!
We had children, young people, foster carers and staff in attendance and a great time was had by all. Engagement with our children, young people and foster carers is so important to us and we are pleased that Maxine has now joined the team to host many more events like this.
Maxine would like to thank all those that came along to her first session and made it so enjoyable.
