FosterCare UK is a small, established therapeutic fostering agency with our own Multi-Disciplinary Assessment & Treatment Team, setting us apart from other providers. As a Family Matching Co-ordinator, you will work in partnership with other team members in order to provide  a highly effective, efficient and responsive Family Matching Service . At FosterCare UK, we pride ourselves on the quality of our thoughtful family matching.

Responsibilities of a Family Matching Co-ordinator:

  • To receive, process and co-ordinate incoming referrals from local authorities of children needing fostering families
  • Working together with internal and external colleagues to match children and young people with FosterCare UK's foster carers
  • Creation and maintenance of family matching records
  • Weekly and monthly reporting
  • Following up any open referrals
  • Promoting to local authorities our foster carer availiability
  • To develop and exercise an understanding of the customs, traditions, culture and religions when dealing with children and foster families and matching fostering arrangements

A Family Matching Co-ordinator needs to have:

  • Confident communication and strong negotation skills.
  • A background in a similar position or Children's Social Care experience.
  • Excellent IT skills are a must 
  • Attention to detail, ensuring all files are maintained accurately
