Make 2021 your year, start a career in fostering!

18th December, 2020

For many of us, 2020 did not go as we had planned which is why there is no better time to make 2021 the year of you. If you still have not made any New Year resolutions, how about making a resolution to changing the lives of many children who need a loving home? Now more than ever, there are children out there who require a foster family to enable them to have a positive future and help them reach their full potential. At FosterCare UK, we are looking for foster carers who are passionate about helping others, if this sounds like you then make 2021 the year you start your new fulfilling career in fostering.

Each year more and more children are placed into foster care which means there is an increased demand for foster carers. There is already an increased number of children who need a loving home, and need people like you to help them have a positive future. It is estimated there are around 80,000 children in the UK who are currently in foster care, there has never been a more crucial time for more foster carers. 2021 could be the year you take back control and start a new career which allows you to make a difference to others, as well as the ability to work from home and fit around your home life.

Tracey P started her fostering career last year and is currently caring for 3-year-old twin siblings who have changed her life for the better. She said: “Seeing them achieve so much even in the short time they have been with us has been amazing.

“When they first arrived, they weren’t toilet trained and after six weeks we managed to train them to use the toilet! It was so saddening when they first arrived, they were so malnourished. I was prepared for the worst from reading notes from their referral document but when I first gave them a bath, I could not help but cry.

“We’ve fed them with lots of yummy food since they have been here, their favourite meal is spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread! I’m looking forward to our future together as a foster family and seeing them grow up together.”
