Creating our own Spring daffodils 

Maxine, our new children's champion, recently held an activity for our children and young people to join a virtual session to make spring daffodils. The sessions was attended by a few young people and here are some of their amazing creations.

Want to have a go yourself? What you'll need:

• Yellow card
• Cupcake/muffin cake case
• Straws
• Colouring pen/pencils/felt tips
• Glue stick
• A pencil
• Sellotape

How to create your Daffodil:

1. First, place a cupcake case on the yellow card in the centre, roughly drawing around the circular cupcake case.
2. Next, remove the cupcake case and draw your own petal leaves, look a at picture of a daffodil if this helps.
3. Now, cut out all around the petals.
4. Then, stick the cupcake case in the centre where you drew around the cupcake case.
5. Finally, using Sellotape stick the straw to the back of daffodil (colour in stem of the daffodil green if you like )

You can use this method to create other flowers and even create a vase for them too!
