Applying To Become a Foster Carer

After completing the home visit, the next step will be to complete and return application form. A social worker will then be assigned to you. The social worker will work with you throughout the assessment process.

You will be asked to provide consent for the completion of statutory checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and for your references to be contacted. Anyone living with you over the age of 18 years will also be subject to these checks.
